Glenn was the son of Otto and Alma (Martens) Wagner. The family moved from Bristow, NE to a farm in Todd county, SD shortly after Glenn was born. In the late 1930's, they moved to a farm near Spencer where he graduated from high school in 1942.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946. After his discharge he returned to Boyd county to farm until retiring in 1992. He entered the Norfolk Veterans Home in 1995 where he passed away.
