Verdie Liles Channell, born May 4, 1913, died peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Mrs. Channell was predeceased by her parents, W. D. and Birdie Keith Liles; husband, Wilson D. Channell and son, William Arnold Channell. She is survived by her children, Robert, Betty Hocutt, Brownee, Bailey, Barney, Ben, and Brenda Witt, and numerous grandchildren. A lifelong member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, her faith in Jesus Christ and love for her family sustained her for over a century. Visitation will be Wednesday, February, 12, 2014 from 12 Noon until service time at 1 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Argo Central Baptist Cemetery.
