Ernest Samuel Noey went to be with his Lord on the afternoon of Feb. 8th, 2014. He was born at home in the Wallace Hill Community, 1/2 mile west of Water's Store, De Queen, Ar. in 1941.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, his five children and their spouses and children, as well as a 4 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister and her family and his many nephews & nieces and their families. He is preceded in death by his father Ernest Murphy Noey and his mother Jessie Beatrice (Stover) Noey.

He was an active member of Geneva Missionary Baptist Church. He was known in his community for his musical talent as he sang and played guitar, fiddle, and mandolin at the Sevier County Museum and area nursing homes as well as for his church.

He retired from Weyerhauser after working there for 32 years. At various times throughout his life he raised chickens, hogs, and cattle. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener who was known for his generosity.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ernest Noey will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 12th in the Geneva Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Travis Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Wofford's Chapel Cemetery, De Queen, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. The Family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
