Mr. Ellis had been in Burleson county about fifteen years and had won a most enviable place in the esteem of his fellow men. He was always straight forward and scrupulously honest, courteous and kind to everybody, and all who knew him feel the deepest sympathy for those to whom no one can ever fill his place. Mr. Ellis had reached the age of 75 years, and leaves a wife and family of grown children to revere his memory.
