Evan Ellis, who lives about six miles south of town, died last Tuesday morning at 8:30, of heart troubles, and was buried at the Masonic Cemetery Wednesday morning. Mr. Ellis had been sick for several weeks and his death was not entirely unexpected.
Mr. Ellis had been in Burleson county about fifteen years and had won a most enviable place in the esteem of his fellow men. He was always straight forward and scrupulously honest, courteous and kind to everybody,and all who knew him feel the deepest sympathy for those to whom no one can ever fill his place. Mr. Ellis had reached the age of 75 years, and leaves a wife and family of grown children to revere his memory.
