Adlai (Ed) Schmidt passed away on April 2, 2007, at the age of 89.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Esther Schmidt, son Michael Schmidt and wife Doreen of Houston, daughter Nancy Elizabeth Goodwin of League City, grandchildren Michael Schmidt Jr. and wife Angie of Pearland, Melissa Locklear and husband Jake, of Pearland, great grandsons, Cole, Tate, Reid Schmidt, one great granddaughter, Madeline Locklear, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Goetz Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m., on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, service will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2007, at the Friedens United Church of Christ with interment to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
