Amanda Alafair Armbruster (nee Gawne), age 33, a resident of Pasadena for 15 years, and formerly of Denton, TX (1980-1990), Norman, OK (1990-1991), Parkville, MD (1991-1994), Pasadena, MD (1994-2001), Ft. Jackson, SC (2001), Pasadena, MD (2002-2008), Lakewood, CO (2008-2009), and Pasadena since 2010, died on February 8, 2014 at her home.

She was born on August 13, 1980, in Camp Pendleton, CA, to William and the late Paula Anne Stevens Gawne. After graduating from Chesapeake High School, she served in the US Army in 2001, and went on to continue her studies at TESST College of Technology in College Park, graduating in 2008. She held various secretarial jobs, and worked at the Maryland Renaissance Festival every year since 1996, except for the year she lived out of state. She was a devoted wiccan, loving mother, wife, and daughter, and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her father William C. Gawne, of Pasadena; her sister Marianne Grace Brown, of Jessup; two daughters: Rhiannon Armbruster, of Santa Monica, CA, and Bethany Burcke, of Pasadena; her former husband Gregory Armbruster, of Santa Monica, CA; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
