She enjoyed singing gospel music and playing a variety instruments. Evelyn was active in Salvation Army all her life as a volunteer. Prior to her marriage to Fred, she worked as a door Greeter at Wal-Mart in Arcadia. Evelyn and her late husband William "Gabe" Albritton also was Owner- Operator of a Truck Driving Business.
Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband Fred Conerly of Arcadia, Fl., one son William "Bill" Albritton of Sarasota; a daughter-in-law Julie Albritton of Sarasota; two sisters Doris (Early) Peters of Stark, FL and Dothene Holden of Sarasota; one grandson Jason (Amanda) Albritton of Sarasota, Fl., several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband William "Gabe" Albritton, three brothers Robert, Willie, and Daniel Douglas; and two sisters Pauline Farrer and Clara Steiger.
A visitation will be held from 10:00AM until 11:00AM, Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia.
Funeral Services will follow at 11:00AM, Saturday at the chapel with Rev. Scott Wilcoxen of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be at 1:30PM at Palms-Robarts Memorial Gardens, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, Fl.
