DIES HERE TODAY
Jacob H. Hovde of 19 Lincoln Ave., a resident of the area for nine years, died this morning in Cortland Memorial Hospital.
Born at Star Lake, Wis., Mr. Hovde was a former supervisor for the planning department for the University Camp Corporation in Savannah, Ga. He also attended Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis., and was a member of Cortland's First Congregational Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Nye Hovde; a daughter, Karen M. Hovde of Cortland; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Counter of Rhinelander, Wis.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Earle W. Wright Funeral Home, the Rev. Darrell Westlake officiating. Interment will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
There are no calling hours and contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church Memorial Fund or the Cortland Memorial Hospital Building Fund.
