Tacoma, WA - Lawrence Murrell, 87, of 5601 Orchard St., passed away December 22, 2003 at Manor Care in Tacoma, after a long illness. He was a retired machinest with the Frigidate Company. An Owsley County native, he was born on December 28 1915 to Sam & Lula Bowman Murrell.
He is survived by two sons, John E. Murrell of California and Woody L. (& Shirleen) Murrell of Tacoma, Washington; two daughters, Elaine (& Mark) Mathieson of California and Judy (& Ray) Elkins of Gig Habor, Washington; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Searcy and Strong Funeral Home, 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2004 with the Rev. Jerry Lacefield officiating. Burial in the Murrell Family Cemetery with Searcy & Strong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
