BOONEVILLE, KY -- 30 September 1968 -- Mrs. Laura E. Murrell, 88, died about 6 p.m. Monday in the Oneida Mountain Hospital, Oneida, after a long illness. She was a native of Owsley County and a member of the Elk
Lick Baptist Church.
Survivors are three sons, Oakley and Charley Murrell, Booneville, and Courtley Murrell, Miamisburg, OH; two daughters, Mrs. Dora Burton, Mason City, IL, and Mrs. Fannie Mae Riley, Austin, IN; two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Barrett, Lone, and Mrs. Lula Murrell, South Lebanon,
OH; 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Elk Lick Baptist Church and by the Rev. George Williamson and The Rev. Hubert Baker. Burial will be in the Murrell family cemetery here.
The body is at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home.
