Born October 7, 1923, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late William Jeter and Corrie (Jennings) Bagwell and the wife of the late Warren Harding Zimmerman.
A graduate of Roebuck High School, she was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church of Pauline, the Ladies Bible Class, and a former Sunday School teacher for many years.
Survivors include a son, Warren Wayne Zimmerman of the home; three daughters, Carolyn Z. Brewington and her husband Ronnie, and Susan Z. Gwinn and her husband Rick, all of Spartanburg, and Elaine Zimmerman of the home; a sister, Martha Jane Morrow of Pauline; two grandchildren, Mandy Irick and her husband Walt, and Jeremy Gwinn and his wife Chasity; and two great-grandchildren, Noah Gwinn and Roman Irick. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Guy and Paul Bagwell, Gladys Bagwell, Attie Mae Floyd, Minnie Lee Gowan, Blanche Bulman, Gertrude Bearden, and Leonie Thomas.
Visitation was 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2005, at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2005 at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
