Mrs. Isabella Snyder, 89, of Stoneboro, formerly of Polk, died this morning in Greenville Hospital. She was born in Clarendon Oct. 16, 1896, daughter of Thomas J. and Ida Carlson Shepard.
She graduated from Clarendon High School in 1912. She worked at Polk, retiring from there after 25 years. She was a member of the Stoneboro United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Naomi Bible Class, and the Stoneboro Woman's Club.
She married Samuel Adams who died Sept. 21, 1942; on April 5, 1952 married Orrin M. Snyder who died Sept. 24, 1980.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Foster (Marjorie) McClearn of Stoneboro; a son, Richard Adams of Polk; two step-daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Moffitt and Mrs. James (Ruth) Neer of Franklin RD 1; a sister, Mrs. Robert Craig of Indiana, PA; 8 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren. Deceased is a sister, Mrs. Ellen Olmstead; a stepson, Robert Snyder; and a step-daughter, Beverly Doutt.
Services will be at 11 am Monday in John T. Oates Funeral Home, Stoneboro, with Rev. David Vaught, pastor of her church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Edward McCollough, former pastor of the Polk UM Church. Interment will be in Sandy Cemetery, Polk.
