Hattie Emma (Koenig) Krischke, loving mother and grandmother, passed from this life into eternal rest on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at Regency Nursing Center. She reached the age of 99 years, 6 months, 5 days.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Kosler officiating. Burial took place in the La Grange City Cemetery. Visitation was held Dec. 30, with the family receiving friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Born on June 22, 1912 in Muldoon, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Klavemann) Koenig. On Aug. 26, 1936, she married Frank Krischke Jr. in Schulenburg. A lifelong resident of Schulenburg, she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Hermann Sons.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Krischke of Conroe and Ronald Krischke of Brazoria; two grandsons, Gaylon and Aaron Krischke of Conroe; a brother, Paul Koenig of Hallettsville; sister-in-law, Lorene Koenig of El Campo; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Weldon Koenig, Jimmy Wessels, Larry Wessels, Herbert Neimeyer, Otto Kocian and Ken Boudney.
