Terral E. "Terry" Anderson, 86, passed away February 4, 2014 in Mt. Pleasant. He was born September 20, 1927 in Thompsonville to Byron and Rowena Dalton Anderson.
Terry grew up learning to work by doing farming chores. At age 16 he left home and joined the Merchant Marines. When he returned home, he was drafted into the Army and served three years in the 82nd Airborne. While serving, he married Patricia Fowler, later divorced. They had son, Jerry Star "Butch". Terry eventually returned to the Merchant Marines until he retired.
Terry became interested in horse racing and owned some very fine horses. When age and illness became an obstacle, he was forced to leave the business.
He is survived by brother: Myron G. (Carol) Anderson, Mt Pleasant; daughter-in-law, Diane Anderson, Marysvale; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry; brothers, Robert Mellor, and B. Gail Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Marysvale Ward Chapel where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Annabella Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with military rites by the VFW Sevier Post #5050 and the Utah Honor Guard.
