He had served his Country in the U. S. Navy during WW II and was retired from Civil Service at NAS Jacksonville. Memberships include VFW and NARFE.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Betty L. Masters; 4 children, Bruce E. Masters, Lynn King, F. Lamar Masters, and Pam Hancock; 2 sisters, Evelyn and Margaret; and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2000 in the Chapel of TOWN & COUNTRY FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Blvd., with Rev. Matthew Meadows officiating.
Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Friday (TODAY) at the Funeral Home.
