Services for Edna Swain Parker Blackmarr, 96, of Chandler, are scheduled for Friday, February 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Leagueville Baptist Church with Bro. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Leagueville Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Edna passed away February 4, 2014 in Chandler. She was born February 8, 1917 in Murchison to the late John Henry and Fannie Johnston Swain. She married Ernest Earl Parker. They were happily married for 35 years. Edna and Earl had two daughters, Kaletah Joye and Gaylon Sue.

She worked for Montgomery Wards for 25 years. After Earl passed away, she accepted a promotion and moved to Arlington where she met L.R. (Bob) Blackmarr and they were wed in 1978. She and Bob loved to travel. They eventually relocated back to Chandler. It was at this time she obtained her real estate license. She went on to open her own real estate office in Chandler and became a multi-million dollar producer.

She was a member of Leagueville Baptist Church and a faithful servant who loved the Lord.

Edna is preceded in death by her husbands, Earl and Bob, her daughter Joye, her parents, six brothers, and three sisters.

She is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Sue Overstreet and husband Vernon of Chandler, granddaughters, Karen Walker of Brownsboro, Susan Miller and husband Yancy of Murchison, Denise Moreland and husband Dave of Tyler, step-son, Brian Blackmarr and wife Edith of Dallas, great-grandchildren, Jason Woodward, Sandi and Chase Calloway, Sloane and Margaret Tetrick, Brett Miller, Jackson and Taylor Tetrick, great great-grandchildren, Jade Glover, Zane Woodward, Jaxon Tetrick, numerous other family members, friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
