Conrad Meisinger

Conrad Meisinger, 86, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006 peacefully at home surrounded by family.

He was born in Steelton, PA, on February 5, 1920, to the late Conrad and Eva Arndt Meisinger.
Conrad retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot. In retirement, he enjoyed working on cars and in his yard. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, participating in the invasion of Normandy.

He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Harrisburg.

Conrad was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Doris, and a sister, Katherine L. Buccieri.
He is survived by a son, Conrad Joseph Meisinger and his wife, Elaine of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Gwendolyn K. Sherow and her husband, Kief of Harrisburg. Conrad leaves behind four grandchildren Lisa Martin of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Lauri Martin of Poughkeepsie, New York, LeAnne Martin of Boston, Massachusetts and Kristen Meisinger of Mechanicsburg, PA: also one niece and three nephews.

Memorial services will be held Monday, October 2, 2006 at 7 p.m., at Hoover Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., 6011 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, with Rev. John E. Lamb, his pastor, officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m.,until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.
