Willis Burnell "Bo" Sellers -- Hattiesburg
Mr. Willis Burnell "Bo" Sellers, 87, died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Madison County Nursing Home in Canton, MS.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery in Hattiesburg.
Mr. Sellers was a charter member of the South 28th Avenue Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for senior high boys. Bo influenced the lives of many people throughout his life. He was always ready with a story, joke or advice, along with a piece of bubble gum. He loved talking about the lord, his girls and baseball. He's now with his Saviour and family, likely making a joyful noise unto the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sellers; parents, Devan and Anna Sellers; four brothers, Kelly Sellers, John Sellers, Charles Sellers, Irvin Sellers, and a sister, Gloria Willene Sellers.
He is survived by his daughter, Julianna Sellers Staires of Madison; two granddaughters, Deanna Lynn Staires of Birmingham, AL, and Andrea Leigh Staires of Madison; two sisters, Clara Sellers Barton of Orlando, FL and Dorothy Sellers Palmer of Hattiesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday February 3, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Hederman Cancer Center at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
