She was the daughter of George Dewey and Lenore 'Peg' (Striff) Geise. On May 9, 1946, she married Richard Edward Long, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons: Richard F. (Cathy), Beaverdam, Warren E. (Kathy), Elida, and Daniel M. (Mary), Sidney; two daughters: Linda (Ray) Waxman, Lima, and Joan (Stats) Mader, Port Jefferson; a sister, JoAnn Wolgast, Lima; two brothers-in-law: Kenneth Lentz, Findlay, and Charles (Rosey) Long, MI; a sister-in-law, Helen Long, Lima; and fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are two sisters: Mary Lou Lentz and Betty Lenore Ludwig; and stepmother, Verna McGahan Geise.
She had worked in the cafeteria with the Shawnee School System and was a member of the First Church of God at the Crossroads. Her hobbies included playing the piano, writing poetry, and she greatly enjoyed reading the Bible. She was an outstanding woman who brought joy to everyone she met, was very generous and giving person, loved by everyone that met her.
Funeral services will be at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
