Mrs. Paton had lived in Ann Arbor since 1907, coming here from Laurium where she and her husband, Allan H. Paton, had lived since their marriage June 22, 1894, in Osceola. He died in 1938.
She was born May 21, 1871, in Copper Falls, a daughter of Thomas and Emma Fezzey Trevorrow. Graduating from Calumet schools, she attended the former Michigan State Normal College, now Eastern Michigan College, in 1887-88, and taught for six years in primary schools in Osceola and Allouez.
Mrs. Paton was a member of the First Methodist Church here.
Surviving besides the two daughters are another daughter, Mrs. Raymond G. (Barbara) Eddy of La Mesa, Calif.; a son, Allan H. Paton of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. Robert J. MacLay of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Henry A. Grant of Detroit; a brother, Edward F. Trevorrow of Detroit; six granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren and three nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Staffan-Hildinger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Merrill Abbey officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
