Alfred Frank Grove, Jr. passed away of natural causes on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at the age of 74. His wife and two children were by his side.
Al was born in Burbank, California the son of Alfred Frank Grove Sr. and Betty May Grove on August 1, 1939.

He graduated from Covina High School and went to The University of Redlands on a baseball scholarship. He was later inducted into their Hall of Fame.

Upon graduation, he began a 35 year career with Bank of America as Senior Vice President of Energy Worldwide and retired in 1996. His long, productive career was filled with many interesting travels and friendships with colleagues. It was at Bank of America that he met his wife, Sonja, and married in 1973.

Following his retirement, he moved to Center Point, TX and became active in the community. He was a generous donor to the Center Point Historical Association.

His father, Alfred Frank Grove Sr. preceded him in death in 2001.

Al is survived by his mother, Betty Grove of Oxnard, CA; sister, Betty Sue Marcus and her husband of Thousand Oaks, CA; wife, Sonja Grove of Center Point; daughter, Leslie Grove of Austin and her husband; son, Randy Grove of Houston; and grandson, Cody Grove.

Services will be at Grimes Funeral Chapel at 1 pm on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, in Kerrville, TX with burial to follow at the Center Point Cemetery.
