F/Sgt (WAG) J.A. Easton from Perth, Ontario. #407 Demon Squadron (To Hold On High). Their Hudson aircraft # A M 864 was badly shot up while attacking enemy shipping in the Fresian Islands. The aircraft crashed and burned while making an emergency landing one - half mile north of Conningsby aerodrome at Woodall Spa, Norfolk.

This aircraft was destroyed at when it crashed and burned out 0.5 miles north of Woodhall Spa on return from a convoy attack. P/O(P) J. W. Creeden , F/Sgt J.A. Easton , F/O R.K. Howson , F/Sgt D.E. Parks and F/Sgt J.H.R. Powell all died in this incident.
