George G. Bertling, 73, of Sycamore died Sept. 14, 2001, at his residence.
He was born April 29, 1928, at Cape Girardeau, son of Walter and Arnetta Bertling.
Bertling was a retired electrician, a member of IBEW Local 364 and a World War II Army Tech veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Ellen Renner of Swansea, IL.; a sister, Betty Morris of Atoka, TN; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral will be today at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Belleville, IL. The Rev. Gary Byers will officiate, with burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
