Anita R. Hornaday, 57, a life long Rushville resident, passed away Jan. 31, 2014 at her home in Rushville.

She was born Jan. 29, 1957 in Rushville to Robert L. Stout & Louise (Haley) Newton. She graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School, Class of 1976.

Anita worked many years at Collins and Aikman in Morristown and in Rushville at Copeland and Walmart. She was passionate about her daughters and granddaughters.

She is survived by her mother, Louise Newton of Rushville; daughters, Amanda Hornaday of Rushville and Barbara Hornaday of Shelbyville; brother, Melvin Stout of Arlington; sisters, Barb and husband Dennis Ellis of Rushville and Connie and husband Jim Smith of Spiceland; five granddaughters; and special friend, Bert Logsdon of Rushville.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville where friends are welcome to visit from 4 p.m. until time of service.

Rev. Sam Davenport will preside.
