Wallace Finley Beason was the son of Alva W. and Nellie E. Shoemaker Beason. Wallace served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1944-1946. On July 27, 1946 Wallace was united in marriage to Arlene M. Blake in Iowa City, Iowa. He enjoyed fishing, family gatherings, puzzles, woodworking, playing horseshoes, tinkering and fixing things with his grandchildren. Wallace will be deeply missed by one son, Wallace F. Beason, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Muscatine; three daughters, Dorothy J. Roach and her husband Randy of Cedar Rapids, Doris K. Hartman and her husband Craig of Muscatine, and Helen Cunningham and her husband, Wesley of Illinois City; two brothers, Roy Beason of Muscatine and Alva Beason of Ankeny; four sisters, Nellie Sill Texas, Minnie Montgomery of Grandview, Mary Schantz of Ainsworth and Hilma Montgomery of Minnesota; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and his special friend, Maxine of Muscatine.
