John Dickey, who has been a resident of Belvidere for the last two – score years, died at his home, in this place on Saturday, in his eighty-fourth year. He had been confined to his bed for about four months, during which time his daughter nursed him with great skill and tenderness.
He was a member of Company H, 9th New Jersey Volunteers, The Captain Henry Foot, ME, ST, G. A. M., attended his funeral on Tuesday and officiated at the grave.
He leaves a large family of sons and daughters, two of whom, M.P, and M, H Dickey are printers and learned their trade in High school.
