Funeral For Mrs. W. E. Evans Held Here On Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. W. E. Evans, aged 54, who died at her home about 5 o'clock Monday afternoon, were conducted at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. J. O. Peterson, pastor of the First Methodist church officiating. Her death was due to dropsy.

Mrs. Evans, who lived on Idabel Route 1, was well known here. Burial took place at Forest Hill cemetery. Skaggs Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Besides her husband, she is survived by several children -- Mrs. Roy Rowland, Mrs. Emmett Bonner, Gladys, Wray, Cletie and Elizabeth Evans.

Mrs. Ada Frances Evans, aged 54 years, who died at her home near Idabel, December 18th, was laid to rest December 19th. Services were conducted by Rev. J. O. Peterson, pastor of the First Methodist church of Idabel. Mrs. Evans was born in Alabama on August 17, 1879, was reared at Waldron, Ark. At the age of 21 years she was married to W. E. Evans of Waldron, Ark. They lived there until 1916, when they moved to Oklahoma, living in and near Idabel since that time.

She is survived by her husband and eleven children, three sons and eight daughters, as follows: Mrs. R. H. Smith, Seminole; W. R. Evans, Idabel; D. L. Evans, Holdenville; Mrs. E. J. Bonner, Longview, Texas; Mrs. J. J. Hoffman, Minneapolis, Minn.; Frank Evans, Idabel; Mrs. R. C. Rowland, Idabel; Misses Elizabeth Wray, Gladys and Cledie Evans, Idabel; father, Rev. J. W. Holder, Bristow, and two sisters and five brothers.
