COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Edna Mae Hollis, 81, of Cookeville will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hollis died on Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 18, 1919, in Cheatham County to the late John L. and Fannie Eller Peek. She was a cutter for Wilson Sporting Goods and a member of Bussell Church of Christ.
Her family includes a son and daughterinlaw, Elihue and Helen Hollis Jr. of Manchester; a brother, John L. Peek Jr. of Dearborn, Mich.; a sister, Martha Jean Peek of Cookeville; two grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren;
and seven nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elihu Hollis; a brother, Willie J. Peek; and a grandson, Jeffrey W. Hollis.
