COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Everette Lee Dyer, 74, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 4-9 p.m.
Mr. Dyer died on July 17, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1925, in Jackson County to the late Robert Lee and Lizzie Flatt Dyer. He was a member of Sycamore Church of Christ, a veteran of World War II and a farmer.
His family includes two daughters and sonsinlaw, Louise and Sheldon Mayberry and Lorene and Willard Edwards, all of Baxter; five sons and four daughtersinlaw, Charles and Evelyn Dyer of Double Springs, and Ronnie and Linda Dyer, Rickie and Sharon Dyer, Richard and Judy Dyer and Michael Dyer, all of Cookeville; five brothers, Willard Dyer of Jackson County, Winnard Dyer of Double Springs, Boyd and
Edgbert Dyer of Cookeville and Hulon Dyer of Double Springs; three sisters, Jewel Flatt of Bloomington Springs, Reba Kinnard of Cookeville and Elise Young of Portland; eight grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and six step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Irene Dyer.
