ANNA ELIZABETH GOSSARD, 92, of 1183 Luther Drive, Hagerstown, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village. Born Nov. 11, 1911, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John Paul and Mary Feigley Richard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Victor Gossard.

She received her bachelor of arts degree from Shepherd College and her master's degree from Western Maryland College. She was a teacher with the Washington County Board of Education, teaching at Smithsburg and Woodland Way elementary schools. She was a member of the Maryland State Retired Teachers Association and AAUW.

She is survived by two daughters, Virginia A. Gossard of Hagerstown and Kenna E. Gossard of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Mary V. Richard of Hagerstown; and one brother, John P. Richard Jr. of Florida.

Services were held at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.
