Mr. Edson was born in Ohio in 1851 and came to Hudsonville when he was 2 years old. In 1870 he married Miss Mary Jane Tillotson.
He was an active clubman holding memberships in the DeWitt Clinton consistory in Grand Rapids, the IOOF and was a life member of the Grandville Masonic lodge. Mr. Edson was a member of Hudsonville Congregational church.
Surviving are two sons, Guy and Glenn of Hudsonville; five daughter, Mrs. Maude Rynbrandt, Mrs. Ida McEachron, Mrs. Laura Kiel and Miss Ada Edson of Hudsonville, and Mrs. Ruth Steele of Grand Rapids; a sister, Mrs. A Kortlander, and a brother, Herman, both of Grand Rapids; 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and on great great grandchild.
