Allen R. Koomler
Allen R. Koomler, 86, Angola, a native of Fort Wayne and the father of Gerald Koomler of Decatur, died Tuesday at Carlin Park Nursing Home, Angola.
He was self-employed and a veteran of World War 1.
He was the son of Eugene and Amanda Nulf-Koomler.
Survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Davis, Fort Wayne; four other sons, Vernon, Norman, Fort Wayne; Ronald, Anderson; Donald, Angola; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Akers, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Hazel Strombeck, Crossville, Tenn; three brothers, John and Homer, Fort Wayne; George, White Pigeon, Mich., 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Klaehn's Wayne Street Chapel, Fort Wayne, with Dr. Al Kundenreich officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
