Anderson, Mo. - William Ellis Scott, 88 years old, Anderson, died at 5:50 o'clock Monday morning at a local nursing home where he had been a patient for three years.

Mr. Scott was born in Girard, Kan., January 1, 1881, and prior to becoming a patient at the nursing home, lived in Carterville, Mo. He was a member of the Carterville Church of Christ and the Odd Fellows Lodge, Parsons, Kan.

Survivors include two sons, Dallas C. Scott, Los Angeles, Calif., and Cecil E. Scott, San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Vadis Elbert, Vernonia, Ore., and Mrs. Goldie Slaughter, Goodman, Mo,; a half brother, Fred Scott, Jennings, Okla.; a half sister, Mrs. Faye Otillo, Kansas City, Kan., 14 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at Ozark Chapel here, and at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at graveside in the Greenlawn cemetery, Columbus, Kan., with the Rev. James Hall officiating.
