After Elizabeth's death, John married Euphrates Sleet in Culpeper County, Virginia on July 2, 1787. They were the parents of ten children, John Sleet, William Weden, Rosanah "Rose", Elizabeth, Nancy "Ann", Lucy, Samuel Collier, Sarah Carter, Benjamin F., and James Madison.
