McCURDY, Elizabeth Dennis "Liz", 77, a Montgomery resident, died January 29, 2014. Her Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at 1:30 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Service at 2:30 PM. Interment will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery, with Rev. Larry Armstrong officiating. She was a devoted member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, and had retired as the Executive Secretary to the Mayor's Office for the City of Montgomery, after 24 years of service. She is survived by her husband, George R. McCurdy; sons, George "Russell" McCurdy, Jr. (Ann), and Benjamin Scott McCurdy (Kay); grandchildren, Carrie Redding Strickler (Martin), Mary Katherine McCurdy, Jacob Lee McCurdy, Sara Kathryn McCurdy, & Daniel Ryan McCurdy; three sisters, Dorothy Hubbard, Jeanette Giles (Donald), & Laura Shirley. Pallbearers will be Jacob and Daniel McCurdy, Bobby, Brooks, and Mike Burnette, Allen Green, Al Stroh, and Jeff Dennis. Honorary Pallbearers will be nephews.
