Karl was born April 17, 1911, in Lehi, Utah, to Joseph Ray Andreason and Genevieve Miller. He was the oldest of four children. He married Mae Elizabeth Walker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had five children: Dona (Don) Hall, Larry, Elaine, Marie (Coy) Simons and Karla (Howard) NewMeyer. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church where he served for many years as ward clerk and home teacher. He was a kind, gentle man and a wonderful example to his 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. He retired from US Steel and had many talents and interests. All who knew him will remember his kind and loving nature. Karl R. Andreason passed away December 23, 2000, after a short illness, to return to his heavenly home for Christmas. He was 89.
