On Oct. 24, 1926 in Mansfield, Martha was born to Vaughn and Ethel (Miles) Lemon. She lived in Mansfield most of her life before recently moving to Ashland. Martha graduated from Bowling Green State University completing a master’s degree of education. She taught in the Madison Comprehensive High School and was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Mansfield. Martha enjoyed teaching, playing bridge, sewing and cooking holiday meals for her family and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ervin Brune; her parents; and a brother Weldon Lemon.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, with Pastor Andy Jones officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Lucas. The family will have a time of visitation 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Martha’s name to the First English Lutheran Church, 53 Park Ave. West, Mansfield, Ohio, 44902.
