on January 30, 2014:

Richard C. Schoenecker, age 71, of Shakopee, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at St. Gertrude's Care Center in Shakopee.
Born in New Prague, Minnesota, on October 12, 1942, the son of Joseph and Cecelia (Ruhland) Schoenecker. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Richarard married Rosie Weiers on May 20, 1967, in Union Hill, Minnesota. He was a volunteer at Mobile Meals, a member of the American Legion Post 2 in Shakopee, and he enjoyed classic cars and wintering in Mesa, Arizona.

Survived by wife, Rosie; children, Brenda Faber, Kurt (Randee) Schoenecker; grandchildren, Erika, Jack and Kyla Schoenecker; siblings, Ralph (Rita), Virgil, Delores Gosewich, Rosemary Lambrecht, Bob (Maryann), LaDonna Peller, Earl (Mary), Joe (Rosie). Preceded by son, Kevin; parents, Joseph and Cecelia (Ruhland); brothers, Erwin and Leander; 3 brothers in law and 1 sister in law.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial Monday, February 3, 2014 11:00 AM, at the Parish of Saints Joachim and Anne (Church of St. Mark), 350 South Atwood Street, Shakopee. Interment Catholic Cemetery. Military honors provided by the Shakopee Veteran's Memorial Unit with 'Taps' provided by Charlie Nelson.
Visitation: Visitation Sunday from 3-7 PM, and Monday from 9:30-10:30 AM, both at McNearney Funeral Home, 1220 E. Third Avenue, Shakopee.
