Ellen Sophia GILBERT was born in England to Job GILBERT and Elizabeth ?. Ellen married James William Webb on March 5, 1905 in Pontlottyn Church in South Wales. All five daughters were born in Wales: Elizabeth Ellen, Bernice Louisa, Doris Emma, Edith Gertrude and Lily Brenda. Ellen immigrated to the US on the SS Olympia in 1928 with her daughters. Initially the family settled in Nanticoke, PA and then finally in Youngstown, Ohio. Ellen died peacefully in her sleep at home.
