Marvin was born on February 16, 1927 in Graysonia, Arkansas and passd away on January 27, 2014 in Redding, California.

He served in the Navy during WWII. Marvin was a long time resident of Del Norte County and retired from Hambro Forest Products in 1989.

He will be remembered as an incredible friend and family man, he will be missed by all who knew him. Marvin always had time to help those in need. Even if all Marvin could do was lend a kind word, he always found a way to be part of the solution instead of the problem.

Marvin leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Virgia Johnson, daughters Virginia & husband Gale Loveland of Central Point, OR and Cathie & husband Fred Baumgartner of Spring Creek, NV. Grandchildren Justin Loveland (Tessa); Angel Loveland; Jeff Mostovoy, (Sara); Greg Mostovoy & Alison Mostovoy. Great grandchildren Megan & Ty Loveland; Heaven & Ryan Loveland, Hunter & Teal Mostovoy; Colton & Owen Mostovoy. Sister Anne Martindale of Crescent City. Brothers JR Johnson (Ruby) of Hope, AR and Gene Johnson (Sue) of Glenwood, AR. Marvin also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Marvin was preceded in death by his sister Neoma Haggard.
