Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Delhi Methodist Church with the Revs. R. H. Allen and Ted Howes officiating. Burial was in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Delhi.
A native of Pelahatchie, Miss., Mr. Knight was a retired agent operator of the Illinois Central Railroad and had been an employee for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edna Knight of Delhi; two daughters, Mrs. L. O. Driskell of Union, Miss. and Mrs. M. E. Williams of Jackson, Miss.; a brother, Mr. Bland Knight of Florence, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. L. C. Ellis, Mrs. Annie Griffith and Mrs. Bernard Lowe, all of Jackson, Miss.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dr. Shelton Teer, J. R. Holloway, W. H. Grifin, Richard Sykes, Joe Wilson and Tommy Wren.
