Travis Burl Bolding passed away after a hard fought illness on July 24, 2007. He was surrounded by his family he so dearly loved and protected. Travis loved to garden, think, and contemplate. Travis appreciated irony and a sense of wryness which he found with his good friend, J.W. Goodwin. He was also considered one of the best steel guitar players in the country. His all-time favorite moment was accompanying Ray Price.

Travis was born Dec. 29, 1952 in Temple, Texas. He graduated from Shawnee, OK High School in 1971 where he played center and noseguard for the Wolves Football Team, coached by Frank Kennan. Travis attended Howard Payne Univ. at Brownwood, TX and Southeastern State Univ. at Durant where he was a member of the Phi Sigs.

Travis married Connie Chism in 1974. Their marriage, lasting a mere 33 yrs, resulted in two children. Travis learned about hard work when he was working summers for ARCO Pipeline Co. He joined the company full-time after college. He retired from ARCO in 1990 and started a new business venture with his wife.

Travis is survived by the love of his life, Connie; daughter, Camille; son, Klein; daughter-in-law, April; and granddaughter, Abby. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Junele Bradley and her husband Robert; his dear brother, Caleb Rumsfield; his brother-in-law, Rhon Chism and his wife Donna and their two daughters, Mia and Nina; his nieces and nephew, Robin and Chris Bradley, April, Jessica and Arial Bradley.
