Rubinelle Bowman, our dear beloved mother, left to be with the Lord on July 16, 2009. Services are scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2009 with a 9:30 am visitation and 10:30 am funeral service at First United Methodist Church in Boerne, Texas with Pastor Fred Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Boerne Cemetery.

Nell was born on December 27, 1925 in Burkburnett to Dr. I.D. and Ruby Russell. She graduated from Burkburnett High School in 1943 and attended the University of Texas at Austin. She married her sweetheart Billy Neal Bowman on February 28, 1945 in Burkburnett and they were married 51 years until his passing in 1996. They had three children, Patrick David, Michael Lee and Casey Neal and lived in Wichita Falls, Austin, Killeen, San Antonio and Boerne. For the past two years Nell had resided at the Hill Country Assisted Living Home in Boerne.

Nell was a very devoted wife and mother and a stay at home Mom. When her sons were in school she began bookkeeping for Bill's construction company. After moving to the farm in Bergheim she began gardening and raising goats. She was well known as a volunteer for the school library, church and thrift store in Boerne.

Nell is survived by her son Patrick and wife Janet of Muenster, Texas; son Michael of Boerne; seven grandchildren, Meredith, Zachry and Ashley Bowman; Amy, Jessica and Michelle Pagel; and Lydia Bezner; great granddaughters Kylie and Kaelyn Bowman; sister-in-law Claudia Kirby, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Volus and Barbara Bowman, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband Bill, son Casey, mother and father and many friends and loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. God has received an angel beyond compare.

Services will be held Monday July 20, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Boerne, Tx. at 10:30 am with visitation beginning at 9:30 am prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Vistacare Hospice of Kendall County.
