Cumberland, MD - Betty Lee Huff, 90, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born December 2, 1923, in Lonaconing, MD, Mrs. Huff was the daughter of the late Robert McClellan and Ethel Marie (McKenzie) McClellan. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Velma Bowman, Dorothy "B" Williams, Ethel Marie Davis, Wanda Biggs, Robert McClellan, Jr., Alma M. Boggs, Rosalie Fleegle, Ferman McClellan, and James McClellan. Betty was a pharmacy clerk having worked in numerous pharmacies in the area. Later in life, she was a home caregiver.
Betty was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness' Cumberland Congregation.
Betty is survived by her daughter: Sandra L. Thomas and husband, Keith, Cumberland, MD; and her sisters: Melba Herath, Cumberland, MD; and Joann Eror, Cresaptown, MD. She also leaves behind her grandson: Allan T. Thomas and wife, Erica, Berkeley Springs, WV; and her granddaughters: Tabrina Squires and husband, Dan, Oldtown, MD; Tracy Defhazier, Savannah, TN; and Breanna Thomas and her special friend, Jeremy Hott, Capon Bridge, WV. Betty is also survived by her great grandchildren: Justin, Zachary, Deven, Aleah, Bristina, and Brayla Thomas, Justine Squires, Joshua Alt, and Justin Alt and wife, Jennifer; her great-great grandchildren: Malichi Steward, Brayden Nixon, Trinity Vick, and Madison Alt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and from 7:00 P.M., to 9:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, January 31, 2014, at 11:00 A.M., with Elder Delford Douglas officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
