Mary Louise Mashburn Ollis , 726 Rock Creek Road, Erwin, who would have celebrated her 88th birthday Saturday, August 6, 2011, went home to be with her Lord at 4:33 P.M. Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and was the daughter of the late James and Lonnie Stockton Mashburn . Mrs. Ollis was a longtime devoted member of Erwin Church of God where she served for many years as president of the Ladies Willing Workers Band and as Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Ollis loved attending church and serving the Lord. She was a loving and devoted Momma and Granny. Mrs. Ollis loved to play cards and quilt. She was always willing to help others and visit the sick. Mrs. Ollis was known for making her famous apple butter and she also enjoyed sampling other receipts. Other than her parents, Mrs. Ollis was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Bradley William Ollis who passed away September 22, 2010. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Margaret Ollis , an infant son, and two brothers, Harold Mashburn and Vance Mashburn. Mrs. Ollis is survived by three sons, Willard B. Ollis, Jerry D. Ollis and wife Loraine, all of Erwin, Gary L. Ollis and wife Lucy, Johnson City; one daughter, Priscilla Harris and Husband Michael, Erwin; three grandsons, Aaron Ollis, Paul Ollis, and Nicolas Ollis; four granddaughters, Faith Fregoso, Hope Fregoso, Adrianna Morton, and April Harris; one sister, Martha Crain, Telford. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Ollis will be held at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday,August 2, 2011, in the chapel of Erwin Memorial Funeral Home with Bishop John Edwards, Rev. James Hughes and Rev. Hope Fregoso officiating. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Verline Lewis and Mrs. Louise Pate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until service time and other times at the residence, 726 Rock Creek Road, Erwin. Active pallbearers will be Josh Ollis, Nicolas Ollis, Mike Harris, Benito Fregoso, Teddy Morton, Lolo Fregoso, Toby Ortiz, Chencho Ortiz, and Henry Fregoso. The committal service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at RoseLawn Memorial Gardens
