Donald Edward "Don" Hilbern, age 80 went to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, January 23, 2014 after a long period of failing health. He was born June 8, 1933 in Muskogee, OK to Charles Edward and Ora Mae (Sanders) Hilbern and grew up in Muskogee.

He was a 1951 graduate of Muskogee High School and served proudly in the United States Air Force after graduation. Don worked many years for the FAA as a computer program writer, retiring in 1979. He moved to Mustang in the late seventies from Bethany. After retirement from FAA Don worked for Presbyterian Hospital and Oklahoma City Police Department, as well as part time for Mustang Schools, as a bus driver and courier. He had worked over 20 years for McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service. Don was a true "Ford Man" being a longtime member of the Oklahoma Mustang Club, Sooner Model A Club and was one of the founders of the Okie A's Model A Club. He was a member of The Bridge (Mustang Assembly of God) where he served for many years as sound technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Tanya and one sister Nora. His survived by his wife of nearly 56 years Patricia of the home, two sons Donny Hilbern and wife Debbie of Mustang and Steve Hilbern of Mustang. Also by eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and two sisters Wanda Kempson and husband Bob and Barbara Williams and husband Charles of Muskogee, OK.

Services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at The Bridge Assembly of God, Mustang, OK with interment following in Red Hill Cemetery under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
