Obituary in York Daily Record & York Dispatch, dated April 9, 2003: John H. Albright, 87, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2003 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Lehman) Albright.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Workinger-Semmel F.H. and Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury, with graveside military rites conducted by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating at the service will be the Reverend N. Patrick Teaford, pastor of St. David's Evangelical Congregational Church, Weigelstown.

Mr. Albright was born June 7, 1915 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Adam E. and Rebecca (Laughman) Albright. Mr. Albright retired from ACCO where he was an inspector for 36 years. He was a World War II Army veteran serving in the 90th Infantry Division. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

He was a member of Twelfth Ward Independent Democratic Club; Prince Athletic Association; West York V.F.W. Post 8951; Shiloh American Legion Post 791 and Viking Athletic Association. Mr. Albright also is survived by several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
