Born February 27, 1897 in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Walter B. and Minnie Andes Yount and husband of the late Pauline W. Royer Yount.
He graduated from Western Maryland College in 1918 and he also served in the Army.
He was a purchasing agent with Standard Lime and Cement Company until his retirement in 1962. He was a member of the First Church of the Brethren in Baltimore.
Surviving are his son, Karl E. Yount, Jr.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A private memorial service will be held and interment at Meadow Branch Cemetery.
