Evelyn Annison Brown, 86, died on December 9, 2013. She was a resident and native of Zachary, LA. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Friday December 13, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visiting will continue at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Dr. Wayne Barnes. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery, Baton Rouge. She is survived by her one daughter, Janet Lynn Petry and her husband Murrel of Richland, WA; one son, Michael Clark Brown of Zachary; Sister, Barbara Annison Foust and husband Bob, Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren: Michael Johnson, Darryl Johnson and his wife Christina, Janell Poenitske and her husband Brian, Bill Brown and wife Missy, Jennifer Duke and husband Rob, Michelle McGee, Jennifer White and husband John, and Michael Petry and his wife Brenda; Nine great-grandchildren: Sarah Poenitske, Ryan Poenitske, Bailey Brown, Hayden Brown, Faith Brown, Reggie McGee, Weston White, Sidney Sterling and Blair Petry and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Clark Brown, her grandson, Christopher David Brown, her parents, Willie and Ethel Annison and her brother, Willie Eugene Annison, Jr. She was a graduate of Zachary High School and Spencer Business College, she retired from the Department of Real Estate for the State of Louisiana, and she was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Zachary.
