Mrs. J. Floyd Wheeler
Mrs. J. Floyd (Ada) Wheeler, 84, of Flora died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette; where she had been a patient since January 30.
Born August 11, 1883, at Rensselaer, She was the daughter of William Riley and Emily Rock Nowels. She was married in Delphi on September 25, 1905, to J. Floyd Wheeler. She spent most of her life time in Carroll County and was a charter member of the Flora Presbyterian Church, a member of Flora Art and Garden Club and the Twenty and Five. She had taught school in Jasper County and two years in the Monroe Township schools here. She was one of a family of ten children.
Surviving with the husband are two sons, James of Rochester and Joe Wheeler of Indianapolis; a sister; Mrs. Grace Meyer of Gary; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Leiter Funeral Home in Flora. The Rev. John Menoch will officiate and burial will be made in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
